Tänään Perseet Olalle! Helsinki part 3!

Sorry it took me so long to update again! I have just been having way too much fun. We keep forgetting to take photos when we are out having fun so this post is going to be a little messy. Sini came back to Helsinki to visit us last week and we went shopping and ate yummy japanese food. Unfortunately the camera ran out of battery just after we took some outfit shots together, but here are the surviving pictures from that day.

 The next day the three of us met up with viivi to go to a bar/cafe on the 14th floor of an expensive hotel in central. The view was incredible, you could see the whole of central Helsinki and the sea!

 We were having some problems with lighting but this is the best photo we got together. Please excuse my hair and face! I look horrendous. Viivi's hair looks so amazing in real life!

Please excuse my face again! I just like this picture so I had to put it up anyway. After the hotel trip we went to a cheap but yummy Japanese restaurant nearby. It was small and cosy and so much fun to all be together and bloody hell Alex and Viivi can eat a lot of Japanese food!!! crazy food lovers Xx

On friday a large group of us went to Suomenlinna which is a beautiful old fortress island just out of Helsinki for a picnic. Here are the photos from the day.

Happenings in Helsinki part 2

Moi! This is just another little update from Helsinki, because I have been ill I haven't been able to do too many exciting things but I did go to the park again and spent a wonderful weekend with Alex and Sini from Project Q. Sini is coming over again this afternoon and I'm sure I will take more pictures then.

To start here are the photos from the park.

I never knew this but Angry Birds is a Finnish invention! They have all sorts of angry birds merchandise and even an Angry Birds shop which I am going to visit soon. This drink was so yummy! I also had some Finnish raspberry-ade thing. I'm really into trying different Finnish soft drinks  as they have some quite strange things here it's quite fun, like playing russian roulette with drinks.

I was a bit of a fatty and decided to buy lots of cakes from Stockman's. I bought a giant champagne truffle, Strawberry and Vanilla sponge and a little apple tart. They were yummy but we were so full from our Hesburger visit that none of us could finish them.

After the park we went back to Tiina and Toni's cute flat in central Helsinki, here is the view from the little roof smoking area. (everyone smokes here it's so disgusting ... like England ten years ago!!!!)

The morning after our fun night which ended up in a bar right in the city centre, well I say morning I actually mean 6 o clock in the afternoon, we all decided to go to Chico's restaurant.

I had a super yummy veggie burger with goats cheese and sweet potato chips (fries.)

okay that is all for now, I know there was nothing really gyaruo related or fabulous about this but I have been rather ill but I am feeling better now and there will be parties and fun things coming up so I promise you lots of exciting posts! x

Happenings in Helsinki part 1

Hello everyone! Sorry I took so long to blog again but I have been very ill again (perfect timing) I have managed to still do some fun things though and this is a little post about some of them (I will do another post soon)

Last week everyone met up in the park for little Saturday (tradition in Finland to get wasted in the middle of the week) now would be a good time to apologize for my English, over a week of just Finnish English and Finnish tv and I am unable to speak properly anymore, although my Finnish accent is pretty damn good!

This was some weird apple-ade Finnish drink that I was drinking instead of alcohol because of my medication. (not drinking is weird in Finland)

Here is a random tourist photo of the Finnish government buildings, I think it looks really scary and Germanic.
Another Finnish thing I have become obsessed with is HESBURGER!!!!!!! I love it and have been 3 times already :P

After the park we went to Jouni's place then after that Oona, a very drunk Alex and I walked home along the coast in the richest part of Helsinki at midnight. LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS AT MIDNIGHT HERE!!! This lightness is the reason I struggle to sleep at night. In England I am used to it getting very dark at night which it just doesn't do here during the summer!

And here are the things I have bought so far!

Dolce and Gabbana light blue deodorant as I have run out of the aftershave and I will use this as a filler until I chose a new one.

Here is a close up of the nail stuff from Viivi's shop! I bought a plain black nail polish, a stamp set and stamp plate with two different colours of stamp polish so expect me to post lots of nice nail pictures in the future.

I'M IN FINLAND!

I was meaning to update sooner, I'm sorry! I have been super busy recently having too much fun. I arrived in Finland on wednesday at Tampere airport where Alex, Oona and Sini were waiting for me. I had an okish flight but some bitch woman kept kicking me.

 This is Alex, Sini and me in the car park of the second largest shopping centre in Finland just after I arrived. Please excuse my face, it was a very long day!

On friday Alex and I went to Viivi's work place and then on to the Finnish fast food place, Hesburger. I had a yummy falafel burger :) Here is a picture of Alex and me in Hesburger. It's amazing, Viivi and Alex still look fabulous even covered in mayonnaise :P

Alex also did my nails while we were at Viivi's place. It felt nice being pampered but I kept smudging the nail polish and he had to keep redoing it. I look really bad in all these photos, anteeksi! (Alex also did sujimori for me yay!)

On saturday it was Helsinki pride and I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the project Q meet up that was happening. It was kind of weird to see so much "gayness" all in one place and people were taking photos like we were a tourist attraction but it was really nice to attend and ended up being pretty damn fabulous! There was also a truck that kept playing Euphoria by Loreen which is one of our favourite songs so we had a little sing a long. Seeing young children wrapped in rainbow flags walking with their parents and old straight couples marching for equal rights was really touching.
