Indie Kid

Hola mis chicas, Cómo estás? This is just a little post based around my outfit from the other day. It is something I haven't done in a while. Clari and Guille (my cousins) knocked the top off my tripod so these photos aren't wonky for some cool affect it's just because my tripod isn't straight any more.

On Friday we went into Buenos Aires in the evening for a family dinner and this was my outfit.

1) My new shirt from La Toscana
2) Necklace, a present from my dad (Nigeria)
4) H&M jeans
5) Ankle Boots from Oona
6) Buffalo Leather bag

My beautiful baby <3

I loved this shirt because of it's little details and I tried my best to take photos of them. Please excuse my spot and my pathetic chest hair in the photo above but isn't the colourful beading around the popper amazing <3 You can also see my necklace as well :)

I love how the colourful embroidery thread and the beads contrast with such a boring manly shirt. It has definitely given me some ideas for future clothes related stuff.

SPEAKING OF CLOTHES! My beautiful and extremely talented designer/model friend (name dropping because obviously she will be famous in the future and I must piggyback upon said fame like Gaultier at the Cannes film festival with Madonna) Lucinda has just released her new Sanctus collection and it is TO DIE FOR. The collection is called  Adramelech, named after the demon in charge of Satan's wardrobe. What people don't know about Lu is that she always sources the best quality fabrics for her work making them extremely comfortable and her digital prints are just SINFUL. It is a phenomenal collection, reminiscent of a love child between Christopher Kane and Gareth Pugh and I think every one of you reading this should go check it out! Here.

A little nonsense now and then, is cherished by the wisest men - Roald Dahl
I hope everyone is enjoying the end of summer/looking forward to spring.

Blogoween! Part 1

Hello everyone! Recently (mostly due to Bunny) I have been in a super Halloweeny mood and I thought I would try out a "Blogoween" series of posts based loosely on Bunny's Vlogoween youtube series. Today I thought I would try out a costume idea I had for a vampiric, ghoulish boy look. Although I toned it down a bit because I had to go into town with Clem (my sister) and her friend Elisha so it became less of a costume and more of a Halloweeny outfit.

Today's instagram!
1) Me camwhoring
2) The three of us waiting for the bus
3) The market square in Peterborough

Here is my complete outfit look. Black wedge heel boots, fringed top and a scarf I bought in Brick Lane on Thursday. I would like to try it with much heavier black eye makeup and some heavy nose and cheek contouring to give me more of a ghoul, undead look. This "earring" which I bought in H&M this summer was my favourite part of the look.

Continuing the Halloween theme I thought it was only fitting that we visited the Gothic style cathedral in Peterborough.

At the bus station I saw this advert I remember seeing a news article about. It's to promote equality and combat discrimination. I love how blunt it is, it could have been written by a Finn!

My "wearable" version of the outfit

Clem and Elisha ... in pain? in our back garden

In Crowland, the small village where my family live, there is a very old Abbey. Clem and I went to the Graveyard to take my Halloween photos as it seemed rather fitting for the "ghoulish" vibe. It's currently under renovation but I still think it's really beautiful.

The sun beginning to set
Autumn is my favourite time of year to be in England, when it's just cold enough that you have to wear a light coat and a scarf and you can collect the chestnuts for roasting on an open fire. When I was little my mum used to make a "witch face" with tinned spaghetti for hair, mini sausages making up a hat shape and a face made from other children's food. I think she is planning on reviving the tradition this year ... let's hope with some healthier, more tasty food!

I hope you all have exciting Halloween plans coming up and are busy working on your costumes. I have a couple of different ideas but I can't choose so I will try them all out over the next week or two.

P.S. I cannot wait to watch my favourite Halloween films again!

Tea Please!

Hello everyone! I have quite a few things to tell you about. First of all (for personal reasons) I am back in England for a couple of months, staying with my Mum. I will be back in Helsinki in January and after that who knows where! Second, my new camera arrived and I am in love with it, there really is no better feeling that opening a big parcel you ordered weeks ago.

Also I have some fun stuff lined up. Tomorrow I am going to a Marina and the Diamonds concert in London with Lucinda the designer for Fawn&Faith. Expect a blog post about it, we will be chilling in Camden and Brick Lane being generic London fashion bitches. Also next week is the shoot for Fawn&Faith which I am very excited about! and the following week I have been invited to a special preview of the new bond film Skyfall down in Sussex on the south coast of England, apparently one of the writers will be giving a talk and there will also be a bond girl from the 90's there! I have always been in love with bond girls. Their characters are so beautifully tragic. They are nothing more than  beautiful possessions of rich men always with unfortunate ends. So I shall be sure to blog about that!

Anyway here are a few photos I took today while walking with my mum and my silly dog.

Typical English country side, bad weather and boring flat fields.

Jumper: Gina Tricot
Long Sleeve Top: Dorothy Perkins
Jeans: Second Hand
Heeled Trainers: River Island

I hope everyone is having a nice autumn and are not too cold. I know Finland is starting to get bloody freezing. Also I am looking forward to Halloween but don't have any plans yet. I hope something comes up soon!
Here are my favourite songs at the moment, Enjoy.

Adele recorded the theme tune to the new bond film and it is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard! It is massive in England at the moment, definitely worth listening to.

Also my all time favourite singer, Loreen has just bought out her Swedish and International singles from her album Heal which is coming out at the end of this month they are "My Heart is Refusing Me" (international) and "Crying Out Your Name" (Swedish.) I have all three of these songs on a repeat playlist on my Ipod I would definitely recommend all of them!

Peace! (as Loreen would say) <3 x

New Place!

Oona and my place is currently being renovated for the next three and a half months so recently I have had a bit of a housing crisis. Luckily for me the  gorgeous Sini is not using her apartment in Vantaa and offered to let me stay there. Yesterday she came over and we hung out together and did our usual blogger life stuff.

Coat: Deepstyle
Top: Camden
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: Vans
(miracle! for once I know where my clothes come from)

I also got a new pair of shoes and this lovely bag!

Pink vans
Vintage leather bag from Marc O'Polo
Cruella Deville Sini looking fabulous in her faux coat
People often wonder how we have the time and money to be out all the time doing fun things well ... our lives really aren't that special. For example the real reason why Sini and I were out together was because she had to pick up her post and I needed to go food shopping! (fabulous life)

Me with my shopping
Also as my mum has been complaining that I never put anything in my blog about my new life, here is a photo of the building where I live now.

I'm in the building on the right!

A random photo of the area
I am also flying home for a visit on the 8th of October to celebrate my mums birthday and see my family and my doggy. I have missed everyone so much! This gif is what our reunion will be like.

Ab Fab makes everything better!
P.S. I just bought a camera so I will be able to blog more about my life rather than rely on my friends to take photos for me.

Bye for now. Tobi x

Lazy Helsinki Days

Moi! I have spent the last few days hanging out in Central with friends. Last Thursday Sini, Oona and I went to wrong noodle and did some window shopping.

Jacket: From Heikki
Scarf: Oona stole it from her mum
T-shirt: Present from Oona
Jeans: Deepstyle
Shoes: No idea (im so helpful)
My look on this day was a lot more casual than normal and I didn't do my hair or makeup. Sometimes it's nice to just relax and not make as much of an effort as long as it looks okay and isn't too boring. I love the new top that Oona bought for me in Italy, anything with Gaga is always good <3

Sini snapped this cute photo of Oona when we were testing the camera settings <3
Soy, udon in a sesame sauce.
Wrong noodle is one of my favourite places to hang out in Helsinki. With portions so big you often have to take the rest home and a well organised and easy to use menu. For less than 10 euros it's definitely worth going to some time. Not to mention it tastes so good! (but the satay sauce could be better)

On Friday I met up with my friend Eemil (Pin) and we went shopping and ate McDonalds. Here is my outfit.

I wanted to try out wearing some more eye makeup again because I feel too dull without it. I had an image of Key from Shinee in my head when coming up with this look and makeup. I think it is a little too heavy but I will try it again and find a style that I am happy with. The top is second hand from Heikki and the jeans are my favourite pair from H&M. The whole look was meant to be based on "Korean Idols"

Key makeup inspiration.
This is just a little update and I have more things to post soon. Let me know what you think of the makeup and outfits.

Also if any of you have a lookbook please fan me:  http://lookbook.nu/thelittleprince

P.S. I want to change my hair colour, any suggestions?

Fabulous day with Sini

Sorry for not updating earlier but I don't own a camera and not much has been going on. Today I spent the day with my hilarious and very fabulous partner in public singing crime Sini. (her blog is in Finnish but totally worth checking out) We went window shopping, trying to find things for her autumn/winter wardrobe and then we had lunch together.

Jumper: Gina Tricot
Jeans: H&M womens
Shoes: They belong to Oona, I stole them.
Accessories: H&M
I know it seems silly, but I wasn't too sure about my first outfit so I bought another top to change into which I did halfway during the day as I felt uncomfortable. Here is the second look.

While we were walking back towards the city centre some crazy man handed us both a bible each. Here was my reaction. Sini's was just as severe.

After the religious onslaught some nice but probably drunk old man asked us if we wanted our photo taken together. Not the best photographer but he gave it a good go :)

After the obligatory blogging we went for lunch to the best salad place in Helsinki. I had tuna and artichokes with a lemon dressing. Sini had chicken and parmesan with a vinegar dressing.

I also bought some cute kpop socks before I came to Finland. Here are my TOP ones I wore today :)

Oh just in case anyone was wondering what I have been doing with my free time, here is a picture. Lets just say there was a lot of vomit to be cleaned up that night, in true suomi style!

I hope you are all enjoying autumn and not feeling too depressed about the oncoming winter. Just think of all the hot chocolate you will have!

See you soon, Tobi x
