HALLOWEEN

Happy Halloween!!! Unfortunately I am not doing much for Halloween this year except having a quiet grumpy night in with my mum, but I couldn't resist dressing up at the last minute. I have been trying hard to think of an easy but fun Halloween costume to do and this morning I decided on an Undead Kpop StarI would have liked a few practice runs and I think the outfit could have been better but here are the photos.

As you can see my Jeffrey Campbell shadow studs arrived this week. They are actually the easiest heels to walk in. I got them because of Jo Kwon, who wore them for his song Animal. Jo Kwon was also the inspiration for my Halloween outfit.

I bought the shadow studs from Nasty Gal. I was a little disappointed with how long they took to come but they were worth the wait. The only issue I have with them is that they hurt your ankle because the leather rubs on your skin. Apart from that they are incredibly comfortable to walk in and jump in.

I hope you are all dressing up and have exciting plans for tonight! Tobi x

JEFFREY CAMPBELL DAMSEL SPIKES

Hello everyone, just a quick post, I went into town today to have coffee with my old school friend Charly and accidently bought the Jeffrey Campbell Damsel Spikes! I ordered the Shadow Studs a couple of weeks ago hoping they would be here in time for the shoot with Lucinda (which has now been postponed twice because of model issues) unfortunately they haven't come in time and last week I saw the Damsel Spikes were in Office, so I decided today that I would try them on ... one thing led to another and the very nice salesman made me buy them!!!

The Damsel Spikes were the first pair of Jeffrey Campbell's I ever wanted and now finally they are mine.

I went out with a more casual look today which ended up going quite well with the Damsels.

Model Lunch+Breakfast as the shoot was meant to be tomorrow. Followed by salad for dinner ... although now it has been postponed again so I am sitting in the Kitchen cooking myself something high in calories. (while blogging of course)

And finally, THE SHOES!!!!

All the reviews on the internet talk about how Jeffrey Campbell shoes and easy to walk in and painless. However I found these really tough at first (although I am not used to heels quite this high, I am more used to heels than a lot of girls I know) but after purchasing some insoles and walking in them for about half an hour the pain had stopped and I was used to the height. So I think what all the fabulous people of the internet mean is that they are "manageable" so if anyone is considering buying these all I can say is Bite the bullet and werrrrk it.

In other news, I found my old Munsters DVDs just in time for Halloween so I have been having a good Munsters marathon during the last few days. On Wednesday I leave for the south of England ready for the special preview of the new Bond film on Thursday  I can't wait to see it and I am looking forward to relaxing on the south coast as well. (it's going to be cold!!!)

I hope you are all having a good October, Ciao for now. X x

Blogoween! Part 1

Hello everyone! Recently (mostly due to Bunny) I have been in a super Halloweeny mood and I thought I would try out a "Blogoween" series of posts based loosely on Bunny's Vlogoween youtube series. Today I thought I would try out a costume idea I had for a vampiric, ghoulish boy look. Although I toned it down a bit because I had to go into town with Clem (my sister) and her friend Elisha so it became less of a costume and more of a Halloweeny outfit.

Today's instagram!
1) Me camwhoring
2) The three of us waiting for the bus
3) The market square in Peterborough

Here is my complete outfit look. Black wedge heel boots, fringed top and a scarf I bought in Brick Lane on Thursday. I would like to try it with much heavier black eye makeup and some heavy nose and cheek contouring to give me more of a ghoul, undead look. This "earring" which I bought in H&M this summer was my favourite part of the look.

Continuing the Halloween theme I thought it was only fitting that we visited the Gothic style cathedral in Peterborough.

At the bus station I saw this advert I remember seeing a news article about. It's to promote equality and combat discrimination. I love how blunt it is, it could have been written by a Finn!

My "wearable" version of the outfit

Clem and Elisha ... in pain? in our back garden

In Crowland, the small village where my family live, there is a very old Abbey. Clem and I went to the Graveyard to take my Halloween photos as it seemed rather fitting for the "ghoulish" vibe. It's currently under renovation but I still think it's really beautiful.

The sun beginning to set
Autumn is my favourite time of year to be in England, when it's just cold enough that you have to wear a light coat and a scarf and you can collect the chestnuts for roasting on an open fire. When I was little my mum used to make a "witch face" with tinned spaghetti for hair, mini sausages making up a hat shape and a face made from other children's food. I think she is planning on reviving the tradition this year ... let's hope with some healthier, more tasty food!

I hope you all have exciting Halloween plans coming up and are busy working on your costumes. I have a couple of different ideas but I can't choose so I will try them all out over the next week or two.

P.S. I cannot wait to watch my favourite Halloween films again!
