DIOR DIOR DIOR

Salut tout le monde! Ca va? Recently I have been hanging out with my friend Sam who lives in London. I stayed at his for a few days last week and we went clubbing, had a trip to the V&A and made some yummy food but I will talk more about that in another post.

Last week we went to visit some friends of his who work at Dior in Westfield to pick up something he ordered.

Christophe the nice man working in Dior took this photo for us, I look rather chunky in it but I don't care. Sam's outfit is all from Dior and mine is ... not.

We were also lucky enough to each be given a copy of the first ever issue of the Dior magazine, released in time for a new era in Dior's history as Raf Simons takes over as Creative Director of the fashion house.

When I got home after my fun adventures in Laandan I felt inspired to do some little doodles after reading the magazine on the train home.

Also check out how cool my chair is! My step brother had it made for me by a friend of his. The seat is made from an old T-Shirt and the back of the chair from a vintage leather jacket.

(Also got this at the V&A museum)

As you can see I am a bit rusty but hopefully I will start drawing, illustrating regularly again (because I bloody need the practice)

I loved the magazine. Dior has always been my favourite fashion house and to be able to read about it's history and current goings on in the shape of a magazine was a real treat!

I have a few more blog posts from the last two weeks to upload and write about because I have been very lazy with blogging recently! I hope I can get them up soon and my blogging inspiration will come back to me. Also, I have been thinking about trying to arrange a fashion/blogger meet up for people interested in designer fashion, alternative fashion and street fashion in London similar to a gal meet, involving meeting somewhere, chatting, taking photos and a bit of shopping. Is anyone interested? Does it sound like a good idea? Please let me know! Ciao for now, Tobi x

JEFFREY CAMPBELL DAMSEL SPIKES

Hello everyone, just a quick post, I went into town today to have coffee with my old school friend Charly and accidently bought the Jeffrey Campbell Damsel Spikes! I ordered the Shadow Studs a couple of weeks ago hoping they would be here in time for the shoot with Lucinda (which has now been postponed twice because of model issues) unfortunately they haven't come in time and last week I saw the Damsel Spikes were in Office, so I decided today that I would try them on ... one thing led to another and the very nice salesman made me buy them!!!

The Damsel Spikes were the first pair of Jeffrey Campbell's I ever wanted and now finally they are mine.

I went out with a more casual look today which ended up going quite well with the Damsels.

Model Lunch+Breakfast as the shoot was meant to be tomorrow. Followed by salad for dinner ... although now it has been postponed again so I am sitting in the Kitchen cooking myself something high in calories. (while blogging of course)

And finally, THE SHOES!!!!

All the reviews on the internet talk about how Jeffrey Campbell shoes and easy to walk in and painless. However I found these really tough at first (although I am not used to heels quite this high, I am more used to heels than a lot of girls I know) but after purchasing some insoles and walking in them for about half an hour the pain had stopped and I was used to the height. So I think what all the fabulous people of the internet mean is that they are "manageable" so if anyone is considering buying these all I can say is Bite the bullet and werrrrk it.

In other news, I found my old Munsters DVDs just in time for Halloween so I have been having a good Munsters marathon during the last few days. On Wednesday I leave for the south of England ready for the special preview of the new Bond film on Thursday  I can't wait to see it and I am looking forward to relaxing on the south coast as well. (it's going to be cold!!!)

I hope you are all having a good October, Ciao for now. X x

Can Men Wear Heels?

In the last few years androgyny has been a major trend in designer fashion with designers like Jean-Paul Gaultier backing this trend using the fabulously beautiful Andrej Pejic in both his Women's and Men's catwalk shows.

Andrej Pejic is a big inspiration for me not only because he is an inspiration for all feminine boys, transgender people, transsexual and androgynous people but he is also taken seriously as a model within the fashion industry and the media. Another one of my favourite androgynous models is Stella Tennant who proves that a women can be both "handsome" and attractive.

However the main focus of this post is not androgyny but whether men can pull off wearing heels. This is something that has been bugging me for a while because I see a lot of stylish Korean and Japanese guys wearing cuban heels and wedge boots which has made me want to invest in some "women's" shoes. At parties I always try on my friends heels and run around a bit (as I have tiny girls feet I can fit in their shoes and trust me when I say I can walk in heels with no problem ; P) so why can't men wear "heels?" I am currently obsessing over Litas and I'm tempted to ask for some for my birthday but I am also worried that I'll get them and always be too scared to wear them and they will end up being a waste.

So after a little googleing I found these.

I don't know about you but I personally think that heels don't look too bad on these guys?

Emmie one of the most stylish people I know recently posted a video of these guys on twitter.

After seeing these guys I had come to a conclusion. Not only can men pull heels off. THEY CAN WEAR THEM BETTER THAN 95% OF WOMEN! I can honestly say that now I can't wait to buy me some heels and that I shall wear them with confidence and feel fabulous.

So now on my wish list are:

mmmmmm aren't they all beautiful <3

What are your thoughts on heels for men?
