I moved to Barcelona!

Hola Jamonas! Como estas? Okay so I have some very exciting news, I moved to Barcelona for the summer two weeks ago. I know I should have updated this earlier but I haven't felt like blogging at all. Since I got here I've been going to the beach a lot, meeting all my old and new friends and going to the gym with Chechi.

I flew here on the always fabulous Ryanair.

I am renting a room in a flat with a couple of Medical students and a linguist. In the city centre. On my first day in the city I went with Ernesto (one of my flat mates) up to Gaudi's park and for breakfast.

Gaudi's park has one of the best views of the city. Chechi (graduated from Hysterical) lives about 15 minutes walk away from me. I live by Torre Agbar (the phallic shaped building in the photo below and Chechi lives by Sagrada Familia.)

Of course it wouldn't be a Tobi journey without my trusty Sanctus jumper. Everyone check out Lu's latest collection! It's so fantastic. The new skull print is to die for as well.

Last weekend I met up with a very special friend who I met on a "school" work experience trip to France. She has been living and working in Catalunya for the last year and it was her birthday. This is her and her adopted Catalan mother, Happy Birthday! <3 x

Yummy Cake! <3
Yesterday I met up with another friend. Sia, who I ran into in Dublin. A lot of you might know her because she owns the Purikura shop in London's Chinatown. She has been travelling the world for the last year just like me. We had a cute little Pizza date on Barceloneta beach.

This is what I look like now!
I've started going to the gym with Chechi and Miwa four times a week. Unfortunately I have a really embarrassing tan line from that day with some horrendously red (although turning a nice dark brown colour) shoulders.

In other news my Auntie bought me a holga lens! Something I have wanted for a while. It is so cute I absolutely love it. It also increases my Hipster level to 50! Here are my favourite photos I have taken with it.

The last one is the view from my Bedroom. I really like my flat and the people I live with are so nice. This weekend I have a fun beach party planned with my friends and I'm sure I will make another post fairly soon. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and if you have/had exams I wish you the best of luck. Lots of Love, Tobi xxxx

Irish Beach

Hello everyone! FINALLY I am updating this blog after a month. I have had such an amazing time in Ireland and I am going to miss it so much. I'm flying home on Wednesday to get ready to move to Barcelona for the summer. A couple of weeks ago I went to the beach for a walk with Caio, Fernando and Donald.

We ended up stalking Enya's house and walking all the way to Dalkey for a drink. Here out some photos :)

Enya's castle

The view from the hill was amazing! you could see the hills and the sea.

This is just a very quick post because I needed to update and I have a lot of stuff to do! I am going to my last sunday night Bingo in the George tonight. I hope you are all looking forward to the summer :) xxx Tobi xxx

Brazilians and Vikings

Hello my lovelies  I am currently on hold to HSBC on the phone and have been for an hour so I've decided to write a blog post with the phone to my ear and prove a point that no matter how hard they FUCKING try they are not going to waste my time. The bastards.

Anyway, deep breaths! keep calm and carry on.
My last two weeks have been filled with growing a beard, sexy Brazilian boys and my Spanish classes! I've also been going out to some Latin music nights here in Dublin. You can take the boy out of south america but you can't take the short temper, the short man syndrome and the mood swings out of the boy.
My beard doesn't show up very well in this photo but it's quite sexy in real life ;) My friends are called Alberto, Caio and Thales and they are from Sao Paulo so they talk in Portuguese and I sit there drinking hot chocolate :D

The other day mis Brazilenos and I went to Stephens Green and a museum in the city centre together.

CHECK OUT MAH BEARD!
Now for the Viking/Irish things!

Finally, through to someone at HSBC ... isn't adult life fun! I love calling up my bank. It's such a pleasurable experience -_- anyway! tonight I am going to another Latin night but I am taking my Brazilians with me :)

... omg I can't understand a word they're saying and they aren't answering my questions!

Okay I should go now before I over-rant about HSBC I promise I will try and update again within the next week.

Bye xxx Tobi xxx

Ireland!

Hello everyone! I am so sorry I haven't updated before now but I don't have internet where I am staying. I am having an amazing time in Ireland despite the atrocious weather (better than England though) On the second, I start an intensive Spanish course at the Spanish institute here which I am so looking forward to!
I think I will be in Ireland for at least two months, if anyone is visiting or lives in Ireland and wants to meet up feel free to message me, it would be great to make some friends here :)

Anyway on to the photos! I flew out last Wednesday on the Irish delight that is Ryanair.

I'm staying in the city centre in the row of Georgian houses below.

I'm staying with Donald, my mums best friend and one half of Irish design team Tyrrell & Brennan (name drop) and I went to their studio and showroom last week.

It's so cold here (especially after Argentina) that I've been wearing my winter coat that I bought in Helsinki, every single day.

The Irish government buildings on the street where I live

That's all for now! I shall try and post again next week if I can. Now that it has stopped raining I will go out and take some better photos of beautiful Dublin. I hope the weather isn't affecting too many people out there! To all of my friends and family in Finland, Spain, Argentina and England I know I am distant at the moment but I am thinking about all of you and I love you :)

Don't Cry for Me Argentina

Hello everyone! I have a lot of news to tell you all.
Unfortunately I had to leave Buenos Aires last week due to some very personal issues involving family.
I'm not going to get into any details about it but don't worry! Everything is sort of okay now.
Here are my photos from my last week :) <3 I miss Everyone so much! x

My Uncle and Aunt <3

With my Cousins <3

There is something about two dads with empty wallets, carrying a hell of a lot of shopping bags that really cheers me up! <3

Last Sunday, my dad, my uncle and his family and I went out for the day to where we lived when I was a baby. Above is a photo of me and my dad (look how small he is!!!!!!!!!!) in front of our old house. After lunch we all went to the riverside to play Frisbee.

The day before I left I met up with Lucas and Sebastian (my adopted parents) two old ladies with a bit too much facial hair to say goodbye.

My flight left Buenos Aires last Thursday. It was incredibly sudden so I had quite a lot of money left and I bought the entire Havanna shop.

This was about a third of my Havanna buys! Also due to the amount that I have been travelling recently I have started to feel a bit like a low budget, less bitchy Bryan Boy so I made sure I had some BB style in-flight reading. Also eww Diet Coke, I wanted Coke Zero.
The flight was about 13 hours long so I spent most of it enjoying the surprisingly good entertainment system. I started out watching Anna Karenina, a beautiful classic Russian romance ... and ended up watching cartoon network.

As I write this, I should be packing because I leave tomorrow lunchtime for Dublin (my whole life is spent at airports) I will be there for about a month, relaxing, studying and doing fun things.  Does anyone in Ireland read this blog? I will be staying in Dublin and hopefully spending some time in Wicklow. I'll do my best to take as many photos as possible.
I am also hoping to go to Barcelona and France before the end of the summer as well. I start University in September/October in Wales to study French and Spanish. I'm excited and nervous.
BUSY BUSY BUSY!
